The stars are Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Priyanka Chopra, Alexandra Daddario, and Kelly Rohrbach. While filming it, they would spend long days in the sand and in the water, being bashed by waves and getting spurted with water. This is the key recipe to fade makeup and tanner fast. The movie’s lead makeup artist is Kim Greene, and she told us her secret:  “Westmore’s Body Coverage Perfector contains treated pigments suspended in a flexible gel matrix that gives the formula a natural looking dewy finish that’s completely transfer proof, waterproof and budge proof that feels like you’ve got nothing on your skin. That crack-proof formula keeps tans streak-proof for three days.”

What is this kind of magic? The Westmore family have built the first movie makeup department in Hollywood. They started exactly 100 years ago. Nowadays they are making a range of four scene-saving products like foundation, brow gel, and mascara. And the rest is thanks to Greene’s mastermind makeup methods which have also embellished films like Identity Thief, This Is 40 and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.

Greene suggests exfoliating areas that tend to be dry including knees, elbows and ankles before applying the product. It’s because these spots can grab on to extra color and look splotchy. Tell us if you’re going to give it a try!
